Does this look familiar? If you have an indoor cat then you most likely have a litter box. It's filthy and disgusting, yet we love our cats so some of us make the sacrifice and have this grossness in our house. But do you know how this litter is made and what happens to it after you throw it away? Well, here is a bit of important information for you. The most common cat litter used today is made from a natural clay. This type of clay (sodium bentonite or diatomaceous earth) comes from the top layer of earth by the process of strip mining. This process destroys thousands of acres of land and removes millions of tons of earth, all for cat litter. The earth's landscapes are changed just so your cat can relieve itself. In some cases nature lands were acquired and folks removed from the land so that mining companies could mine it. Fact - Americans spend approximately 45.4 billion dollars on their pets. Fact - According to the Bureau of Waste Management approximately 8 billion pounds (2 million tons) of used cat litter is dumped into US landfills every year, that is double the amount of disposable diapers. As the litter absorbs waste and water in the landfills it can become 15 times it's original size. Since cat litter contains bentonite the litter doesn't degrade so when it's dumped it just takes up landfill space. Just think, if your cat was toilet trained and used The Purrfect Potty, you could help make this world a healthier place! What if cat owners used The Purrfect Potty instead of a litter box? That would make a huge difference not only in our landfills but our landscape and those that have lost property in the process. That is why it is important that you and other cat owners know that there is an alternative to toilet training you cat. What is the difference in a litter box and a toilet bowl? At least 8 billion pounds or 2 millions tons of litter!

I’m Elizabeth Slone, inventor and owner of The Purrfect Potty. I came up with this product idea after been given a kitten somewhat unexpectedly. I considered myself a dog lover and not a cat lover. I had two dogs and had never owned a cat because of not wanting a litter box in my house. So, after contemplating about finding a home for the kitten, I decided against it. I thought if I could toilet train a cat to use the toilet then this would solve a litter box problem. That is when my brain went to work and I came up with The Purrfect Potty. After working with the kitten over a few weeks she took to the product and then a few more weeks this kitten was toilet trained. She had her own cat seat, The Purrfect Potty and she was litter free. At that moment of seeing her use it, I then became a cat lover and have had a couple of more since her and toilet trained them all to use it as well. How many more people are like I was? They like cats but don’t want to own one because of how disgusting the litter box is and how it stinks up your house. So, The Purrfect Potty, in my opinion, actual saves cats lives! I kept three cats from becoming perhaps homeless, unloved or even euthanized. There are so many other people that are doing the same by buying The Purrfect Potty. I’m so thankful that I was given that sweet kitten, years ago and this idea came to me and now is a wonderful product. If you want to give a cat home without the mess and odor of the litter box, you can. The Purrfect Potty is the BEST way to toilet train your cat! It is proven to work and even better, it gives back to save lives of other animals that are in need of a forever home. |
